HAN Network makes cable television debut tonight on Vantage

The HAN Network will make its Connecticut cable television debut this evening when Frontier Communication’s new Vantage Sports Network channel launches at 10:30 p.m. on channels 600 and 1600.

HAN Network’s sports director, Frank Granito will be a guest with Vantage Sports hosts Noah Finz and Mark Robbins tonight.

The channel officially launches this evening, September 12 at 10:30, and will be exclusive to Frontier’s Vantage TV™ customers. It will air 7 days a week on Channels 600 and 1600 HD. Content and programming will be developed by Noah Finz, former WTNH Sports Director and owner of Finz Creative Programming. In addition to providing statewide local sports coverage, Finz will be partnering with the established HAN Network to provide comprehensive high school sports coverage in Fairfield County.

At 11 p.m. tonight, the channel will re-broadcast HAN Network’s coverage of Friday night’s high school football game between Ridgefield and Trumbull High School. It is a worth watching, with an outcome that stunned both sidelines. Watch it on Vantage at 11.

“We are thrilled to have the HAN Network as part of Frontier’s vast entertainment network here in Connecticut,” said Martin Hersam, CEO of the HAN Network. “We launched just over a year ago — so, to be part of what Noah and his team are building is very exciting for us and a testament to how talented our people are.”

The Vantage channel will broadcast games at all levels and will include a nightly topical highlights show with 30 minutes or more of statewide coverage. With high school football season underway, VSN-CT already has several local game coverage planned, including ones in Norwalk, Fairfield, West Haven, Bridgeport, Waterbury, Stamford, New Britain and Danbury.

Frontier and VSN-CT have partnered with Sacred Heart University, which will serve as the official home of the VSN-CT studio; this partnership will also provide college students opportunities to gain experience in the broadcast and sports industries allowing them to enter the job market with a solid, hands-on experience on their resume.

The HAN Network is the exclusive FCIAC broadcast partner through the spring of 2018. HAN Network’s broadcasting division streams at least four high school sporting events a week during the school year. This is in addition to daily news, sports, politics and lifestyle studio programs.
