Fairfield County Arts Association seeks artists

Fairfield County Arts Association is seeking artists to become members. This is a networking organization for area artists of any skill level which functions from September to July. It has been in existence since 1984. A modest yearly fee includes attendance at meetings, a webpage of each member’s artwork, plein air outings, exhibit opportunities, social events, and a monthly newsletter that reports news of members’ exhibits.

FCAA offers monthly meetings which feature an invited artist who discusses his or her approach to art, techniques used, and background training. The presenters may bring actual artwork and/or show images of their work on the screen. The presentation is followed by questions from attending members. Refreshments are available, and members may bring a recent artwork for constructive feedback from the group.

Meetings provide a safe, supportive, and educational experience for those attending. They will be held on Wednesday evenings from September through June 2017 at Roger Ludlowe Middle School Library in Fairfield, with December and January for an annual FCAA Member Show in Independence Hall. The reception for it will be in December. July is a social event held at a member’s home.

For a membership form, visit fairfieldcountyarts.com or call Alice at 203-259-8026.
