Reading to Rover program at Fairfield Public Library

Certified pet therapy teams will visit the Fairfield Public Library on Friday, July 22 and 29, at 3 p.m., to encourage independent readers entering grades K-5.

These 15-minute Reading to Rover sessions are perfect for readers who would like to strengthen their read aloud skills. It is rumored that dogs like all kinds of stories, as long as they get to read with you.

Meet in the Children’s Program Room at the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road.  Space is limited.

Registration is required with only one reader per 15-minute time slot accepted.

If you haven’t already, don’t forget to sign up for this year’s summer reading challenge – “On Your Mark, Get Set . . . Read!”  Start reading your way through the Hall of Champions and explore all of the interesting things to do at the Library this summer.  Find out more about summer reading online under the Children’s section of our website at or pick up the Summer Reading Program brochure when you visit.

All programs at the Fairfield Public Library are free.  For more information on this and other programs, visit us online at: or call 203-256-3160. Follow the Fairfield Public Library on Twitter: and Facebook:
