Matt Cotto from Stratford, a Fairfield Prep graduate, has committed to play soccer at the college level for the Albertus Magnus Falcons.

Cotto has been a three-year member of Prep’s varsity soccer program.

During his time on the team, Prep won the SCC title in 2014 and reached the Class LL state quarterfinals in 2015.

Cotto was a captain of the Stratford United Soccer Club team that won the league championship in 2015.

He was also the top goal scorer for Stratford United in 2014.

Cotto offered his soccer talents as a soccer camp counselor at Fairfield University for Brooklyn Jesuit Prep students.

He has also volunteered at the Cardinal Shehan Center in Bridgeport, helping in its youth programs.
