Fairfield Public Library hosts Summer Reading kick off party

Celebrate the first day of summer with the Fairfield Public Library on Monday, June 20 with a kick-off party and StoryWalk® at Owen Fish Park, 1443 Stratfield Road.

StoryWalk® is an innovative way for children —and adults — to enjoy reading along an outdoor path.  There also will be games, fitness challenges and ice cream, while it lasts. Drop-in from 10-noon, no registration is required.  Appropriate for children entering grades K-5.

While at the park, children may register for Summer Reading. Get inked with a temporary tattoo and receive your first prize before participating in our StoryWalk® challenges and games. This year’s summer reading program is “On Your Mark, Get Set . . . Read!”  Read your way through the Hall of Champions and explore all of the fun and interesting things to do this summer at the Library.

All programs at the Fairfield Public Library are free.  For more information on Summer Reading and other programs, visit us online at:  www.fairfieldpubliclibrary.org or call 203-256-3160.
