Fairfield Public Schools superintendent search update

The consultants from Hazard, Young and Attea & Associates (HYA) who were hired by the Fairfield BoE to help them with the search for the district’s new superintendent are now compiling their online survey results, as well as the feedback they received from the dozens of one-on-one and group interviews and focus sessions they conducted with school staff, elected officials and members of the public at the beginning of May. All of this information will be presented at a Special Board of Education meeting next week — Wednesday, May 25, at 8 p.m., at Osborn Hill School, 760 Stillson Road, in the APR.

Following that meeting, the BoE will receive a slate of candidates in June and will then conduct interviews throughout the summer. As of now, there are no candidates being considered by the BoE for the permanent superintendent position, as they have not received any information on specific individuals from HYA.
