Fairfield superintendent search forums

As has been previously announced, the Fairfield Board of Education has initiated its search for a new Superintendent of Schools. The Board of Education invites the public’s participation in this process by attending one of the following Open Forums, which will be facilitated by the consulting firm Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates (HYA):

  • Tuesday May 3, 12:30-1:30, Fairfield Main Library (Rotary Room), 1080 Old Post Road
  • Tuesday May 3, 6-7 p.m., Central Office Board Room, 501 Kings Hwy East
  • Wednesday May 4, 10:30-11:30 a.m., Central Office Board Room, 501 Kings Hwy East

All Fairfielders are welcome to attend.

As a reminder, HYA is also using the Superintendent Profile Survey to gather information regarding the characteristics, skills, and abilities that stakeholders view as important in the new superintendent. The BoE is very interested in public input as they seek to hire a new superintendent.  The survey — which will be available until May 9 — is designed to gather perceptions on the importance of various characteristics commonly found in effective superintendents.  The information will be used by HYA and the BoE to determine the “Desired Characteristics” of the next superintendent for Fairfield Public Schools.
