Near & Far Aid, an all-volunteer and fund granting organization dedicated to eliminating the causes and effects of poverty in Fairfield County, announced the addition of a new Afternoon Tea Party as part of its upcoming 2016 Designer House Tour on Friday, May 6.

The Afternoon Tea offers patrons of the Designer House Tour an opportune break from the day’s festivities to relax, socialize and indulge in a special treat. Catered by The Royal Tea Company, this brand new event is scheduled to take place from 1-3 p.m., with continuous service, at a private home in Greenfield Hill that features panoramic views of lush and fragrant gardens.

Tickets for the tea party are $35; tickets for both the house tour and tea party are $100.

The Afternoon Tea promises to impress even the utmost Downton Abby fans and tea aficionados, alike! Guests will be treated to scones fit for the Queen herself, a custom blend of Darjeeling Tea, an array of traditional tea sandwiches, and delicious, freshly-based confections.
