Fairfield Public Schools conducts Superintendent Search Survey

Fairfield Superintendent of Schools Dr. David Title will be retiring from his job on July 31, 2016. The Fairfield Board of Education (BoE) has employed the search firm of Hazard, Young & Attea and Associates (HYA) to assist them in finding a new superintendent for the school district.

HYA is planning meetings with multiple stakeholder groups in town — these will be held the first week of May, specific times and locations to come. In addition to the in-person meetings, HYA is also using the Superintendent Profile Survey to gather information regarding the characteristics, skills, and abilities that stakeholders view as important in the new superintendent. The BoE is very interested in public input as they seek to hire a new superintendent.

The survey — which will be available from through May 9 — is designed to gather perceptions on the importance of various characteristics commonly found in effective superintendents. The information will be used by HYA and the BoE to determine the “Desired Characteristics” of the next superintendent for Fairfield Public Schools. Thank you for taking the time to share your perceptions with the Board.
