Near & Far Aid, an all-volunteer and fund granting organization dedicated to eliminating the causes and effects of poverty in Fairfield County, today revealed that world-renowned interior designer Anthony Baratta will headline its Designer Power Breakfast as part of its Near & Far Aid 2016 Designer House Tour on Friday, May 6, 2016.

A widely-attended annual event rich with tradition, the Near & Far Aid 2016 Designer House Tour will offer patrons an exclusive inside-look at a curated selection of luxury properties in the enclaves of Fairfield, Southport and Westport. The day’s festivities kick off with the Designer Power Breakfast at The Patterson Club, 1118 Cross Highway, Fairfield, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Tickets for the breakfast are $75.

“Working with Connecticut Cottages & Gardens as our exclusive event media sponsor allows us to provide our patrons with current, exciting speakers,” said Joan Panagos, President, Near & Far Aid. “We absolutely cannot wait to hear from Anthony Baratta about his latest projects, insights into the decorating landscape and what’s ahead for the design world.”

Baratta began his career 30 years ago after combining his talents with William Diamond. Their firm Diamond Baratta Design has since garnered a worldwide following, earned countless awards, accolades and editorial placements in prestigious publications like Architectural Digest, World of Interiors, House Beautiful, Verdana and House & Garden, among others. Baratta continues to dazzle his fans with his unique style under his namesake brand, Anthony Baratta.

Following the breakfast, Baratta will be available to sign a limited number of copies of his beautiful book, All-American: The Exuberant Style of William Diamond and Anthony Baratta, which will be available for purchase in the lobby. Patrons also will have the “Chance to Win” — a pair of diamond earrings, donated by Henry C. Reid & Son Jewelers.

“We are incredibly thankful for our amazing roster of corporate sponsors for helping to make this event a huge success,” said Panagos. “Their enormous support helps us to meet our annual fundraising goals and help those in need throughout Fairfield County.”

This year’s roster of local sponsors include: Land Rover Milford; Hatfield Insurance Community Fund; Fairfield Dental Arts, Dr. Paul V. Iaropoli, DDS; J.P. Franzen Associates Architects, Kat Burki; BNY Mellon Wealth Management; Henry C. Reid & Son Jewelers; and exclusive event media sponsor CTC&G (Connecticut Cottages & Gardens).
