In honor of April being National Parkinson’s disease Awareness Month, The Watermark at 3030 Park is hosting a free Parkinson’s lecture by Dr. Srinath Kadimi, a local neurologist from St. Vincent’s Medical Center and member of the Associated Neurologists of Southern Connecticut on Tuesday, April 26, at noon, at the continuing care retirement community, located at 3030 Park Avenue on the Bridgeport-Fairfield town line.

Dr. Kadimi will give participants an introduction to the disease, which is a chronic and progressive movement disorder. He will also give a description of various syndromes associated with the disease, symptom management options like medical marijuana, and new treatments to help improve quality of life for patients.

Dr. Kadimi received his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degrees from Guntur Medical College in Guntur, India. His medical internship was completed at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport; he completed both his residency in neurology and fellowship in vascular and critical care neurology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
