Rich Herzfeld of Chef’s Table visits Fairfield Library

The Fairfield Public Library’s next program in the What’s Cooking?” series features Rich Herzfeld of Chef’s Table in Fairfield on Monday, April 18, at 7 p.m., in the Rotary Room.

The Chef’s Table is an ever-evolving melting pot of food music and art.  It was started as a small take-out operation in Westport, but has been a staple of downtown Fairfield for the past 15 years. We look forward to hearing Rich’s story and sharing a taste of a favorite recipe when he visits.

Registration is requested.

Rich Herzfeld was born and raised in White Plains, New York.  By the age of 15 he was operating a small catering business for his parents’ friends’ social events and was accepted into the Culinary Institute of America right out of high school.  He was inspired to take cooking to the next level by his uncle, Juan Metzger, the founder of Dannon Yogurt. Having shared his love of cooking with his own children, now they assist him at Chef’s Table.

The Library’s “What’s Cooking?” series features local chefs who share the back stories behind their cooking lives as well as favorite recipes.  Look for more visits from local chefs next fall.
