Shoes for the Cause collection at MS Walk April 16

This Saturday April 16, from 9-11 a.m. County Recycling’s Shoes For The Cause shoe drive will be part of this year’s MS Walk 2016, located at Jennings Beach in Fairfield.

shoes-for-the-Cause-FULLShoes For The Cause will be collecting all used women’s, men’s and children’s shoes, boots, cleats and handbags the day of the event. The event is scheduled to have over a thousand area participants and Shoes For The Cause Founder and CEO Ted Fisher whose mother is battling MS is hoping to collect over 3,000 pounds of footwear in which the MS Society will receive an impressive monetary donation based on the total pounds collected.

County Recycling a social and local enterprise is built on a strong environmental and philanthropic foundation, and is one of the leaders in the Wear — Donate — Recycle global movement.

Those wishing to help out are asked to gather up all the used footwear and handbags as you can and come on down and drop them off at the start of the event. The Shoes For The Cause team will be there at 8 a.m. to accommodate early drop offs.
