Fairfield selectmen honor Ludlowe cheerleaders

On Wednesday, April 6, the Fairfield Board of Selectmen honored Fairfield Ludlowe High School’s cheerleading team, the Falcons, for winning the FCIAC Cheerleading Championships and being named to the Connecticut High School Coaches Association (CHSCA) Cheerleading Team of the Year. The Selectmen issued Certificates of Congratulations to each member who were joined by the School’s Headmaster Greg Hatzis.

In March, the Falcons, were the first team in the State to win the inaugural Team of the Year competition, beating 29 teams from around Connecticut. This competition is a new tournament in which the top six cheerleading teams from each division perform against each other.

First Selectman Mike Tetreau said, “Our Town is so fortunate to have so many outstanding athletes.  The Selectmen are always so pleased to recognize our talented youth who make Fairfield so proud!”
