LIBRARY: Why choose a community college?

Why Choose a Community College? a Getting Ready for College Program will be held on Tuesday, March 29, from 7-8:30 p.m., at the Fairfield Public Library, 1080 Old Post Road.

As the price of college continues to soar, so does student loan debt.  Where can students find another higher education solution that meets their needs?  Community colleges can provide affordability, an easier admissions process, flexibility, smaller campuses, easy transitioning, post-degree options, networking opportunities and hands-on experience.  Explore the community college option with Housatonic Community College Assistant Admissions Director Bernard Shea.

This program is designed for high school students and their parents.  Registration is requested.

Bernard J. Shea is Assistant Director of Admissions at Housatonic Community College.  He has over 15 years of admissions experience including the University of Bridgeport and Mitchell College.  He also has student loan industry experience with the Connecticut Student Loan Foundation and the Academic Finance Corporation.

This is our last Getting Ready for College program this spring.  Look for more programs in this series next fall.
