Boys basketball: Sacred Heart defeats Notre Dame in final

Top-seeded Sacred Heart of Waterbury won its 54th consecutive state game and claimed its third straight state title with a 101-49 victory over Notre Dame of Fairfield in the Class M final at the Mohegan Sun Arena on Saturday.

The Lancers were seeded sixth and finished the season with a 21-4 record.

Mustapha Heron, who will play at Auburn University, scored 32 points and had 10 rebounds.

Tyrn Flowers scored 19 points and grabbed eight boards.

Nore Davis scored 14 points and Anthony Mongillo 12 for the Lancers.
