Justo named senior director of marketing operations at Quinnipiac University

Steve Justo of Fairfield has been appointed senior director of marketing operations at Quinnipiac University.

In his new position, Justo will oversee the Office of Brand Strategy and Integrated Communications (BSIC) team operations, resource planning, workflow and marketing communications governance.

Before joining Quinnipiac, Steve was account director at Zimmerman Advertising, overseeing Nissan Northeast Region marketing strategy and planning. Additionally, he managed creative resource and team-wide financial planning on Team Land Rover at Wunderman Advertising in New York City.

“Quinnipiac University is an exciting place to be right now and I am thrilled to join the team,” Justo said. “The school has experienced tremendous growth. From the students, alumni, faculty and administration, there is a real ‘energy’ on campus. Further, the many brand and marketing communications projects that are underway will work to demonstrate why Quinnipiac is such a great place to go to school.”

“I’m excited to have Steve back on my team,” said Keith Rhodes, vice president of Brand Strategy and Integrated Communications. “Having worked with Steve in the past, I know how his strong work ethic and deep knowledge of marketing will contribute to elevating the Quinnipiac brand.”

Justo earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Bryant University. He and his wife, Jennifer, have two sons, Ryan and Kyle.

Brand Strategy and Integrated Communications is a new office within Quinnipiac University and is responsible for brand and marketing communications strategy, planning, execution and reporting across all University communications channels.

The Office of Brand Strategy and Integrated Communications’ work is segmented into four core functions: brand strategy, identity, awareness and communications governance; brand marketing communications; marketing communications consulting services; and creative and editorial services.

“We continue to build the new department at the university, and Steve is a key hire who will ensure that our marketing, planning and execution are on par with the top agencies in New York,” Rhodes said.
