Fairfield Happiness Club explores ways to practice gratitude

Fairfield Happiness Club presents Make Room for Gratitude, by Dr. Cynthia Barnett Thursday, March 24, from 7-8:45 p.m., at the Fairfield Public Library, 1080 Old Post Road.

Want a surefire route to happiness? When you focus on what you’re thankful for, you feel all sorts of positive emotions that influence every part of your life. Experiencing more gratitude in your life can make you happier, more alert, optimistic, generous, boost your immune system, improve your sleep and make you feel healthier.

Participants will: Learn ways to practice more gratitude, including writing a letter of thanks. Combat negative feelings by celebrating incremental successes. Keep the positive impacts of gratitude alive by keeping a gratitude journal. By the end this presentation you will have experienced the positive effects of gratitude. You’ll have all the tools to make gratitude a habit. Once you get those good feelings going, you won’t want to stop.

Everyone is welcome; admission is free. Meet some wonderful people using happiness in their lives. Learn to have the peace of mind you need and experience happiness now.
