The Fascination of Hummingbirds with Milan Bull

The Fascination of Hummingbirds with Milan Bull will be held on Saturday, March 19, from 10:30-11:30 a.m., at the Connecticut Audubon Society Center at Fairfield, 2325 Burr Street, Fairfield. Suggested donation of $5.

The smallest warm-blooded creature on the planet has one of the largest followings and captures the curiosity of bird lovers everywhere. Join The Connecticut Audubon Society’s Senior Director of Science and Conservation Milan Bull for a discussion about hummingbirds — the astonishing little powerhouses that are far more than delicate nectar gatherers.

With wings that beat up to 200 times every second, hummingbirds are the only birds that hover, fly backwards and even upside down, putting them among the most interesting of bird species to even the most experienced birders.

Receive 10% off hummingbird feeders in the Nature Store. Register in advance at 203-259-6305, ext. 109.
