Eagle Hill Southport School in partnership with the William Randolph Hearst Foundation presents the next community lecture series speaker.

Scott Driscoll, founder of Internet Safety Concepts, former police officer, and author will talk about Internet safety on March 1, at 7 p.m., at Eagle Hill Southport School, 214 Main Street, Southport.

The event is free and open to the public.

With all the advancements in technology come new dangers and concerns. Parents need to stay current and be aware of the technology their children are using and the trouble that can follow if safety rules are not in place. This presentation will focus on educating and empowering parents with tools, tips, and tricks to keep their children safe online.

• Popular apps, how they work and safety features within
• Tips on how to monitor and use technology in the safest way
• Strategies for keeping families safe
