Fairfield Museum hosts April Fools Night

Families from Fairfield and the area are invited to the Fairfield Museum for an April Fools Night out! This first-time event, set for April 1, from 6 to 8 p.m., will feature wacky entertainment, crafts, kid-friendly cuisine and plenty of fun! Plus, guests will get an exclusive sneak preview of the newest exhibition, “Fabulous Animals: The Illustrated World of Robert Lawson.” Lawson’s work includes illustrations for The Story of Ferdinand, Rabbit Hill and Mr. Popper’s Penguins.

The night will include a wandering magician who will delight families with amazing illusions, mesmerizing tricks, balloon animals and jokes, of course! Storytelling, crafts, food and music will be part of the fun, as children create wacky masks and listen to amusing stories about animals! If there’s a performer in the family, he or she can pick a joke from a mixed bag, perform some stand-up comedy and make people laugh at a Joke Telling Open Mic! The evening will conclude with a sweet and tasty treat from Shake Shack’s famous Custard Booth!

Tickets are on sale now at http://fmhcaprilfools.eventbrite.com or Fairfieldhistory.org or by calling 203-259-1598. Space is limited. Reserve tickets by March 28. Adults: $15; Children: $10; Family of Four: $40.

The event is generously sponsored by Newman’s Own.
