Mondays at Seven: Avoid the Resume Black Hole

Are you frustrated and angry with “lost” resumes and cover letters submitted through applicant tracking systems? Why do job applicants feel they are sent into a black hole, never to reappear?

Let Shelby LeVino tell you about strategies that resulted in a phenomenal “60% response rate and a job” at the next Mondays at Seven meeting on Monday, Feb. 29, at 7 a.m., at the United Methodist Church of Westport and Weston, 49 Weston Road, Westport.

Mondays at Seven ([email protected]) is a networking and job search skills organization in Fairfield County that aims to energize members’ career processes in job search, career change, or self-employment ideas. Its programs and resources benefit members in their job search, leverage the group’s alumni as a resource, and “pay it forward” to each other and the community.

Meetings are free and open to the public, however a $1 contribution is suggested for coffee and bagels.

Schedule:

  • 7-8 a.m. Networking, Administration and Announcements
  • 8-9 a.m. Presentation
  • 9-9:30 a.m. Additional Networking and Clean-Up
