Singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Keller Williams hits the road this winter/spring. Known for always keeping his music fresh, Keller debuts his new 4-piece collaboration, The Keller Williams KWahtro featuring Gibb Droll, Danton Boller, and Rodney Holmes, with a run of shows that begins Jan. 21 in Tulsa, OK and hits six cities in the south and Midwest. In early February, Keller jumps between a variety of his projects, including Keller Williams with The Travelin’ McCourys and Keller & The Keels (for some shows with Yonder Mountain String Band), before picking back up with KWahtro for a monster run of shows that hit the East Coast, Midwest, and Colorado Front Range through mid-April.

The Keller Williams KWhatro featuring Gibb Droll (guitar – Brandi Carlisle/Bruce Hornsby), Danton Boller (bass – Roy Hargrove/Jazz Mandolin Project) and Rodney Holmes (drums – Santana/Steve Kimock) debuted earlier this January.  This four-piece collaboration with two acoustic guitars, double bass and drums reinterprets Keller originals and choice cover songs with sounds ranging from new disco, reggae, drum and bass, jazz afro trap, and much more.

To wrap up 2015, Keller Williams performed with musical friends EOTO for three shows in Texas and the Keller Williams Trio featuring Rob Wasserman (bass-RatDog) and Rodney Holmes played a short run in early December. Over Thanksgiving weekend, Keller hosted “Thanksforgrassgiving” with an all-star lineup of bluegrass buddies: Travis Book and Chris Pandolfi (The Infamous Stringdusters), Larry Keel, Jason Carter (Del McCoury Band) and Cody Kilby (Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder). Keller wrapped up the year with his beloved Keller and his Compadres celebration in Colorado, followed by New Year’s Eve in Telluride, Colorado with his 7-piece funk outfit More Than A Little. Dubbed “Tofunkuride” featuring Keller Williams With More Than A Little.

Keller Williams released his 20th official album, Vape in spring 2015.  The release hit during Keller’s 20th year of making music. On Vape, Keller offers up 10 original tracks – some road tested and some brand new. With a hugely successful career spanning two decades under his belt, the music on Vape somehow finds Keller more confident delivering his signature, often off-the-wall storytelling. Backed by a variety of fellow musicians including Samson Grisman/bass, John Kadlecik/guitar, Ronnie McCoury/mandolin, Rob McCoury/banjo, Alan Bartram/bass, Jason Carter/fiddle and others – Keller’s playing has never been more precise and versatile.
