Many were digging out yesterday following Saturday’s snow storm, the first significant snowfall of the  season.

In Bridgeport, an Old Town Road home was broken into Saturday by three armed men, who pistol whipped the three Sacred Heart University students living there and stole cell phones, jewelry and watches, police said.

In Monroe, A suspected purse snatcher is facing multiple charges after police said he caused a ruckus in Big Y January 15.

In Fairfield, Jeffrey Carron, 22, of Sky Top Drive, was arrested Thursday in connection with a fiery single-car accident last December.

A man who didn’t clean the snow off his roof-landed in bigger trouble early Sunday morning in New Canaan.
