Selling skills for non-sales people

Take away your fear of selling. This program, led by sales expert Jon Barb, is designed to give you the skills necessary to sell yourself, products, services and ideas. Learn how to prepare for face-to-face interaction, how to probe, support, close, involve the client using style-matching techniques, and follow-up. This program will meet on Tuesday, Jan. 12, at 7 p.m., in the Rotary Room at the Fairfield Public Library, 1080 Old Post Road.

Presenter Jon Barb has more than 25 years of experience conducting training programs for companies such as Xerox, Union Carbide and Olin, among others. He has taught basic sales, consultative selling, strategic selling, sales negotiating, sales presentations, partnering, and sales management training programs.

These programs are part of the Small Business Strategies series for current and prospective entrepreneurs, presented through a partnership with the Greater Bridgeport Chapter of SCORE, a non-profit dedicated to helping small businesses succeed through education and mentorship.  More information on these programs and podcast recordings of previous presentations are available online at
