Job Series Talk: Critiquing LinkedIn Profiles

Is your LinkedIn profile working for you? Get your professional profile critiqued by a LinkedIn expert. Career counselors from the Connecticut Department of Labor will provide a one-on-one, 30-minute personalized critique based on your goals. Learn how you can enhance your Professional Headline, Summary, Skills, and Experience to grab the attention of employers and others. This program will meet Monday, Nov. 23, at 10 a.m., in the Rotary Room at the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road. Registration is required.

Other Jobs series programs this fall include: “Marketing Yourself: Branding”, December 3 and “Advanced Resume Techniques”, December 14.

These presentations are part of the Library’s award-winning Jobs series, now in its sixth year. The talks are supplemented by a LinkedIn networking group, one-on-one career counseling sessions, Job Search Boot Camp, podcast recordings of over 100 past presentations (, and an updated collection of job-hunting books. Since January of 2012, 158 people who have attended Jobs series programs have reported they have found employment.
