Seasons-Readings-logo-(1)Kick off the holidays with Grace Paley, Tina Fey, and Frederick Stroppel! Join JIB Productions, Inc., creators of the hit comedy, Play with Your Food, for Seasons Readings, a production they call “a delightful afternoon performance of irreverent and irresistible short plays and stories that shine a holiday light on human nature at its best . . . and at its worst . . . but guaranteed to put everyone in a fabulously festive frame of mind!”

Seasons Readings entrances the audience with heartfelt humor as the stories travel from the lower East Side with Grace Paley’s The Loudest Voice, across the country with Tina Fey’s Celebrity’s Guide to Celebrating the Birth of Jesus, through a riotous rehearsal of “The Nutcracker” in Fred Stroppel’s Land of the Sweets, off to sea with William Lederer’s remarkable A Christmas Ballad for the Captain, back to yet another hilarious account of a holiday production in Wolcott Gibb’s 1936 story Ring Out, Wild Bells and finally, back home again as Matt Hoverman explores the pull between the disasters of the past vs. the possibilities of the present in his poignant play Going Home. Expect some stops and surprises along the way as the cast takes you from literary to laughter in one delightful afternoon.
