Nigeria Revisited: My Life and Loves Abroad

Nigeria-Revisited-CoverCatherine Onyemelukwe will be presenting her book, Nigeria Revisited: My Life and Loves Abroad Wednesday, Nov. 4, at 7 p.m., in the Rotary Room at the Fairfield Public Library, 1080 Old Post Road.

The author is an American who joined the Peace Corps to teach in Africa in 1962. She planned to stay for two years; however, her stay lengthened to twenty-four years. She met a Nigerian man, fell in love, married, survived a war, raised three biracial children, founded an organization and created a business. Her experiences in Nigeria help to explain issues of the developing world, especially Africa.

Come experience the culture of Nigeria through her descriptions of daily life. Books will be available for purchase and signing. Advance registration is required due to the limited space.
