Acoustic guitar duo Kristen Graves and Glenn Roth perform

The Music at Pequot Library series continues Sunday, Nov. 1, at 2 p.m., with a high-energy acoustic guitar duo, Fairfield’s own Kristen Graves, Connecticut State Troubadour and Connecticut-based Glenn Roth, licensed performer in the Music Under New York program.

Individual tickets are $15 in advance, online at, or at the Front Desk, and $20 at the door. All tickets are general admission. Doors open 30 minutes before performances begin.

Connecticut Troubadour, Kristen Graves, and Glenn Roth, fingerstyle guitarist, return to Pequot Library for another engaging performance. Glenn Roth’s playing has been hailed as “sheer virtuosity” by 20th Century Guitar magazine and Kristen Graves was recently listed as part of the “new generation of folk music” in the New York Times. Graves is a singer/songwriter and humanitarian from Fairfield. With catchy songs, a penchant for story-telling, and inspiring lyrics, Graves delights audiences across the country. Constantly traveling and touring, Graves plays nearly 200 shows per year, having shared stages with Dar Williams, David Amram, Guy Davis, Peter Yarrow, and the late Pete Seeger. Graves has six albums and two EPs to her credit. Her newest release, Now Ain’t the Time for Tears, is available on iTunes.

In addition to her touring and recording schedule, Graves makes sure that there is always time to be part of the humanitarian organizations whose work she admires and is inspired by. Spending months living and working with Simply Smiles in Mexico and on the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe Reservation in South Dakota creates the signature chemistry of Kristen’s performances: “a stirring combination of music and justice.”

Glenn Roth plays high-energy acoustic fingerstyle guitar originals, with influences ranging from Tommy Emmanuel to Tool. Based in Connecticut, Mr. Roth tours regularly throughout the northeast and beyond, including a recent stint across Europe as part of the Master Guitar Tour. Roth has won fans worldwide through his touring, YouTube videos, and busking in the New York City subway system as a licensed performer in the Music Under New York program. He has been hailed as “A gifted player on the rise…” with “delicate, accomplished solo acoustic guitar work.” Roth is due to release a new album titled “Welcome Home” this fall.
