What’s Cooking series features Local Meatball chef

Local Meatball chef Michael DiStassio will be sharing his journey to finding the perfect meatball during the next What’s Cooking Series at the Fairfield Public Library Monday, Oct. 26, at 7 p.m., in the Rotary Room of the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road.

What’s Cooking is a series featuring local chefs. Guest chefs will share the back stories behind their cooking lives, the challenges of running a restaurant/food market and talk about a favorite cookbook or recipe.

DiStassio will explain how he came to be known as the “Meatball Man” with a traveling truck to serve Fairfield County in back yards, boat ramps and yes, an airport hangar. Using only local and organic meat, quality ingredients and of course, his Grandma’s special technique.

Come have a “ball” at the Library! Advanced registration is required due to the limited space. All programs at the Fairfield Public Library are free of charge.
