Wellness Series: What’s Really in Your Food and Water?

Our food and water supply is regularly exposed to harmful chemicals, including glyphosate and fluoride. Ninety percent of genetically modified (GMO) crops are affected by glyphosate.

The World Health Organization recently declared glyphosate as a “probable carcinogen.” These chemicals may contribute to the rapid rise in health problems including food allergies, ADHD, autism, type II diabetes and obesity.

Learn more about these substances and how to easily avoid them by making careful choices with Carol Joy, health coach and ConnFact Grassroots Leader for Southern Fairfield County Wednesday, Oct. 28, at 7 p.m.,  in the Rotary Room at the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road. Registration is requested.

Carol Joy, owner of Integrated Wellness LLC, is a health coach with over 20 years of experience. She is passionate about empowering people to achieve optimal health by limiting contact with the toxins we are exposed to on a daily basis. Joy believes people should be “counting chemicals not calories” when thinking about food and dieting. This led to her work with ConnFact where she volunteers her time educating consumers and health professionals about GMO’s and other toxins.
