Obituary: Lorraine Schoen Burnett, 88, of Fairfield

Lorraine Schoen Burnett, 88, of Fairfield, dental hygienist, wife of the late John F. Burnett Jr., died Oct. 12.

Born Feb. 24, 1927, in Danbury.

Her father was George J. Schoen, the first police chief in Danbury’s history, and her mother was Helena McCarthy.

She had two brothers and a sister who predeceased her.

Survived by three sons, Gregg Burnett of Fairfield, John Burnett of Narragansett, R.I. and Jeff Burnett of Wakefield, R.I., and six grandchildren, Timothy, John, Jane, Sarah, Casey and Patrick.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 15, at St. Peter’s Church on Main Street in Danbury. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury.
