Fairfield Theatre Company screens rocking documentry Lambert & Stamp

Fairfield Theatre Company continues to put the rock in “Rocktober” as they get set to screen, Lambert and Stamp, a part of their Films that Rock series on Monday, October 19 at 7:30 p.m.

The James D. Cooper documentary tells the story of Kit Lambert and Chris Stamp, the managers of the legendary British rock band, The Who, as well as the story of The Who’s rise to fame. The two mismatched kindred spirits (Lambert and Stamp) were working at Shepperton Studios where they wanted to make their mark as filmmakers. An  idea hatched that was at the very least circuitous, highly impractical and just a little insane; finding a rock group, guide them to fame, and filming the whole process, ending up with of course an amazing art film documentary.

Yet in the process of helping nurture and shape the now legendary band, Lampbert and Stamp did far more – even if it was largely accidental.

Get ready to be entertained as FTC screens the legendary documentary that gives audiences an inside look at one of the most influential rock bands in history and the two people who help guide them on the path to success.  Lambert and Stamp truly is a documentary for the dreamers out there that proves the age old saying, “you just never know.”
