LETTER: District 9 needs Bill Perugini re-elected

FI-Letter-to-the-EditorTo the Editor:

I write in support of re-electing Bill Perugini to the RTM as a District 9 Representative. I first met Bill in 2013 with a handshake as I entered Sherman School to vote. Since that day, his communication and dedication have been instrumental in the efforts of our neighborhood to enact changes we feel are necessary and beneficial to our community.

Every district faces challenges and the beach area is no exception. During the warm months we have an exponential increase in the amount of traffic on our streets. This directly correlates to parking issues, traffic violations and a general concern for the safety of our children.

As a neighbor and friend, Bill knows these concerns firsthand and diligently acts on our behalf to work with the town and other elected officials to get results. With over a decade of experience in public service and an extensive contact network, Bill helped see through several key changes in District 9 that immediately benefitted all who live and visit there.

The process, however, has only just started and the challenges of District 9 will continue to grow and change over time. What should not change is quality of leadership and commitment we currently experience from Bill and the RTM team. There are few who truly know their constituents and the needs of a community as well as Bill Perugini. I look forward to having Bill represent us for another two years and encourage all to vote for his re-election this November.
