LETTER: Supports the Tymniak team

FI-Letter-to-the-EditorTo the Editor:

I’ve grown up in Fairfield as have my wife and children. I’ve owned my own business in town and I have also been a servant of the taxpayer as a town employee, elected official and volunteer.

Having served Fairfield in these capacities for decades, I can say that I have seen some great leaders and some poor ones in our community. Chris Tymniak is a great leader and has proven it running the city of Ansonia and with many other accomplishments.

Under the great leaders, like Jacky Durrell, my family had seen a pride in Fairfield and more people wanting to stay here for life, not just because of convenience for a few years before they move on. Under poor leaders, we’ve seen Fairfield become “Fair-Fled” as high taxes and low services have run many long-timers out of their ancestral home. Chris Tymniak comes from a lineage of parents who proudly served Fairfield and the State of Connecticut in high offices.

Chris knows what it takes for a family to want to make Fairfield home for generations…and Chris Tymniak is the leader who will make us proud.
