Fairfield University Bookstore hosts Crenshaw food drive during October

Inspired by Crenshaw, a new novel by Newbery Medalist Katherine Applegate (The One And Only Ivan), Macmillan Publishing is partnering with independent bookstores in a nationwide food drive.

For every bookstore that signs up to participate Macmillan will donate $100 to No Kid Hungry. Bookstores and schools across the country are partnering with food pantries to collect items for children in need.

The Fairfield University Bookstore has teamed up with Assumption School, Fairfield Woods Branch Library, Pequot Library and St. Thomas Aquinas School and will be collecting non-perishable food items for the month of October. All items will be donated to Operation Hope in Fairfield. As an extra incentive the author will appear at the Bookstore with the most donations.
