Absentee ballots available for Fairfield voters

Town Clerk Betsy Browne reminds Fairfield’s voters that absentee ballots for the November 3, 2015 election are available in the Town Clerk’s Office. A registered voter may be qualified to use an absentee ballot for any of the following reasons: the voter will be out of town during all the hours of voting; their illness or disability prevents them from voting in person, or religious tenets prohibit secular activity on the day of election.

Absentee voting is a two-step process. An application for a ballot must be signed and filed with the Town Clerk before a ballot can be issued.

Applications are available at the Town Clerk’s Office Monday through Friday from 8:30-4:30, or call 203-256-3090. Applications may be downloaded at sots.ct.gov/sots/lib/sots/electionservices/electforms/electforms/aabeng.pdf and sent to the Town Clerk at 611 Old Post Road, Fairfield 06824.

The Town Clerk’s Office will be open on Saturday, Oct. 31, from 9-noon, for absentee balloting.
