Kiwanis Club sponsors Fairfield Trick-or-Treat on Safety Street

The Kiwanis Club of Fairfield will sponsor this year’s upcoming Trick or Treat on Safety Street Friday, Oct. 30, from 2-5 p.m., in downtown Fairfield. With the support of downtown merchants as well as local businesses, the very popular Trick or Treat on Safety Street offers parents a safe venue to bring their children to Trick-of Treat for Halloween.

This event offers a safe and comfortable environment for the children of Fairfield to dress up and trick-or-treat for Halloween. It is open to all Fairfield children up through elementary school who come dressed in their favorite costume. Downtown merchants will offer treats from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and will display an orange Trick-of-Treat on Safety Street poster in their windows to show their participation. It will take place from the First Niagara Bank, at Thorpe Street, to the Pink Cupcake Shack at the Brick Walk.

The Star 99.9 street team will be playing music and handing out goodies and joining other local business and non-profit organizations on the Sherman Green. The Kiwanis sponsored high school service group Key Clubs will be assisting on that day, and passing out balloons and the Kiwanis club will be taking pre-orders for their Annual Holiday Poinsettia Sale.

Chartered in 1961, The Kiwanis Club of Fairfield is the local chapter of Kiwanis international, a civic organization comprised of local residents, business owners, and professionals that collaborate to improve the lives of children locally and abroad. Membership in the Kiwanis Club of Fairfield is open to men and women who have the desire to serve the community and children in need.
