Fairfield RTC reminds residents of new voting districts

Continuing its commitment to the community, the Fairfield Republican Town Committee would like to remind citizens that due to a state-mandated redistricting, Fairfield has new voting districts that will take effect during this year’s municipal election. Election Day is November 3.

The changes in the districts are a result of a redistricting ordinance that was passed by the Representative Town Meeting (RTM) in February. Polling locations are based on respective RTM districts.  Voters can visit the Fairfield Republican Town Committee’s website, and click on ‘Where do I vote’ section which will show the new RTM district map, and a RTM District Street guide. Voters may also call the Registrar of Voters office at 203-256-3115 to determine where they vote.

“As a community organization, we think it’s important that each voter review the new RTM district map, and street guide ahead of the election so they can determine their new voting and polling location,” said James Millington, Chairman of the Fairfield RTC. “The municipal election is vital to our town’s future, and we want to ensure maximum voter participation, and avoid any confusion on Election Day.”
