Actor/Comedian/Author Charles Grodin presents An Hour of Comedy – Thursday, Sept. 3, at 1 p.m. Registration required.

2nd Annual FSCA Mum Sale — $6 for an eight-inch pot of Mums. Pre-sale through Sept.  8, from 9-3:30 at the Bigelow Center; cash and check only. Paid pre-orders will be available for pickup Thursday, Sept. 10 at the center. Please place your order at the reception desk.

Registration is open for:

Fishing Trip on the Lucky Lady – Monday, Sept. 14. The bus leaves the center at 8:30 sharp and returns at about 4 p.m. Fee: $66 per person. Space is extremely limited.

Brain Games Lunch and Learn – Tuesday, Sept. 8, noon-1:30 p.m. Try your luck at a variety of brain teasers and enjoy a delicious and complimentary lunch provided by The Greens at Cannondale and Wilton Meadows. Registration required. Space is limited.

Watercolors with Sabine Bonnar. Classes begin Monday, Sept. 14, from 12:30-2:30 p.m. Explore your creative side! Fee: $10 per session, $50 for five-class session. To register, please see Janet in the office or call Sabine directly 203-913-9922.

Basic Computing. Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting Sept. 15, 1-2 p.m. Learn mouse and keyboard skills, how to use Windows, how to personalize your computer and get started with word processing. Instructor Lisa Harris. Fee: $30 for eight classes payable to the instructor at the first class.

Personal Stories Writing Workshop with Amy Luciano. Tuesdays, starting Sept. 15 at 1 p.m. If you’ve ever thought about writing the story of your life, or just the good parts, here’s your opportunity to start focusing. Fee: $40 per eight-week session, payable directly to instructor.

Beginner Spanish with Luz Rincon, certified Berlitz Language Instructor. Wednesdays, starting Sept. 16, from 10-11 a.m. Recommended for students who have no or minimal grasp of the Spanish language Fee: $40 per eight-week session, payable directly to instructor.

Live Well, a Chronic Disease Self-Management Program. Tuesdays for six weeks, starting Sept. 22, from 1-3:30 p.m. Learn how to manage on-going health issues such as diabetes, arthritis, lung and heart disease, chronic pain, anxiety and depression. Join the workshop series, meeting weekly for six weeks. No Fee.
