Demystifying the Admissions Process — Part One: Test Preparation

The Getting Ready for College series returns with Demystifying the Admissions Process, a two-part series. The first session features test prep expert Lynn Carnegie on Sept. 8. The second session features Certified Educational Planner Mary Spiegel on Oct. 19.

They will discuss how to best prepare for the admissions process. Part One: Test Preparation will address the different standardized tests — PSAT, SAT, and ACT — all of which are making changes in 2015-2016. This session will meet Tuesday, Sept. 8, from 7 to 8:30 p.m., in the Rotary Room at the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road. High school students and their parents are welcome. Registration is requested.

Presenter Lynn Carnegie is the co-founder of Carnegie Pollak Test Prep. She has been preparing students for optimum performance on college entrance exams since 1984.

The second session of Demystifying the Admissions Process – Part Two: Finding Your College, will take place on Monday, October 19, also from 7:00 to 8:30 pm in the Rotary Room at the Main Library.
