Fairfield Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day

The Town of Fairfield is holding its annual Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day on Saturday Aug. 29, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Veterans Park on Reef Road.

For a list of acceptable (and unacceptable) materials, visit the Town’s Hazardous Waste Collection web page, fairfieldct.org/hazwaste.

Since May 1990, the towns and cities which are members of HazWaste Central have disposed of and recycled more than 1,000,000 gallons of hazardous waste.

On Saturday Aug. 29, the Town of Fairfield will need volunteers from 8:30-11:30 and 11-2. Volunteers will not be handling any hazardous waste.

To volunteer, contact Michael Zembruski or Audrey Sciuto in the Town’s Solid Waste and Recycling Department at 203-256-3023 or [email protected] or [email protected]
