Fairfield Theatre Company welcomes back the island sounds of reggae pop sensation Mishka

The Fairfield Theatre Company welcomes back Hawaiian-based Reggae Pop sensation, Mishka, to StageOne on Thursday, Aug. 6, at 7:30 p.m.

Having always been a traveler, Mishka is considered a man on a conscious musical mission. Born in Bermuda and raised in the Caribbean, Mishka was born a traveler and a sailor at heart.  The free spirited musician’s lyrics and melodies are considered grooves rooted in culture and reflection.  With a Caribbean ambiance rooted at the forefront of his music, Mishka adds an eclectic sound that contains countless elements and genres from bass heavy roots reggae, mellow acoustic ballads, to love songs, songs of social justice and even songs of consciousness.

Through the bright lights of Hollywood Mishka’s journey has taken him from an independent singer songwriter to major label fame, all because of his distinctive sound, true artistic integrity, and creative control.

Having performed with such a wide array of artists including the Dirty Heads, Michael Franti, Matisyahu, John Brown’s Body, Burning Spear, Slightly Stoopid, Pepper, Luciano, Sly and Robbie, The Roots, The Cat Empire, Gregory Isaacs, Donovan Frankenreiter, Jimmy Buffet, Kenny Chesney, Zac Brown to just name a few, Mishka returns to StageOne in support of his latest release, Roots Fidelity.

Roots Fidelity is a project inspired by Mishka’s passion for Roots Reggae Music, and by the request from many of his fans to make a genre specific, straight up Roots Reggae album.

Funded by a pledgemusic campaign that saw Mishka pulling out all the stops with a range of incentives including signed posters, handwritten lyrics, hemp beanies to Mishka’s own Taylor T3 Guitar, a lifetime pass to all Mishka’s shows and even getting the title of Executive Producer of the album in the credits.

Fans get ready to hear a night of new material as well as classic fan favorites as Mishka makes his return to StageOne for a night that will celebrate the summertime breeze. If you love reggae, then you won’t want to miss this.
