Fairfield Public Library’s Summer Reading Finale is Aug. 5

The Fairfield Public Library is ending this year’s Summer Reading Challenge, “Every Hero Has a Story” with a celebration on Wednesday, Aug. 5, at 3:30 p.m., at Roger Ludlowe Middle School, 689 Unquowa Road.

In keeping with the theme of heroes, the finale will give participants the inspiration and know-how to create their own hero. Learn the basics of cartooning, drawing and creating a story with Free Lunch Comics. The Library also will recognize local heroes at this event — all of the super readers from the Summer Reading Challenge. The Children’s Librarians will be be pulling tickets for winners of the grand prize raffle. Registration is required.

Based out of the Free Lunch Department of CES Design Studios in Granby, Connecticut, Free Lunch Comics publishes some of the best independent comics, graphic novels and games around. In addition, they conduct lessons, workshops and host special events, like our Summer Reading Finale. Join us!

All programs at the Fairfield Public Library are free. To register, or for more information on this and other programs, visit fairfieldpubliclibrary.org or call 203-256-3160.
