Curator discusses plein air art exhibition at Pequot Library

Meet the Curator, a free program was held July 15 in the Pequot Library’s Perkin Gallery. Nancy McTague-Stock, MFA is the curator of the 14-artist summer exhibition: Plein Air Revisited: A Study in Diverse Observations which runs through Aug. 28.

McTague-Stock drew from her own professional experiences as a painter, printmaker, and photographer, to discuss the paintings and explain how she chose the artists’ work. Some of the exhibiting artists such as Diane Weeks of Darien, and Missy Savard of Fairfield, were on hand to discuss their own work. The participants asked questions, listened, and observed while enjoying coffee and donuts.
