Epic Reads Groups at the Fairfield Public Library

The Children’s librarians at the Fairfield Main Library are hosting two Epic Reads book groups this summer.

Princess-in-Black-Book-CoveIf you are in grades 2 or 3, read Shannon and Dean Hale’s Princess in Black; if you are in grades 4 and 5, read Cece Bell’s Newberry Honor Book El Deafo. Then join the Children’s librarians for a lively discussion, activity and snack. The Epic Reads Group for Grades 2 and 3 will meet Thursday, July 23, at 3:30 p.m.; The Epic Reads Group for Grades 4 and 5 will meet on Wednesday, July 29, at 3:30 p.m. Both meetings will take place at the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road. Registration is required.

El-Deafo-Book-Cover-FULLIf you haven’t already — don’t forget to sign up for this year’s Summer Reading program, “Every Hero Has a Story!” for children entering grades K-5 and the Junior Hero Summer Reading Program for preschoolers ages 0-5. Sign-up is easy, online or in person at the Library.
