Retailers joining in Restaurant Week

Fairfield retailers will join 34 food and drink establishments in the town’s first-ever Restaurant Week, Sunday, Oct. 14 to Saturday, Oct. 20.

Restaurants taking part in Restaurant Week will feature $10 and $15 lunches and $20 and $30 dinners or other discounts on existing menus. Menus and prices are listed on the webpage.

Participating restaurants include 55 Wine Bar, Archie Moore’s, Artisan, Avellino’s, Bangalore, Barcelona, Bella Sera, Bodega, Bon Appetit Café, Bonda, Café Lola, Café Madeline, Centro, Colony Grill, Fin, Hunan Pavilion, Iso’s Fairfield Café, Kiraku, LC Chen’s, Lilac House, Mamma Mina’s, Martel, Michael Gennaro’s Steakhouse, Old Post Tavern, Osianna, Paci’s, Quattro Pazzi, Tabouli Grill, The Brasserie, The Chelsea, The Gray Goose, Tucker’s Café, Wafu Asian Bistro and Wild Rice.

“Fairfield is fortunate to have a wide variety of quality restaurants and retailers that we want to showcase,” First Selectman Mike Tetreau said. “Restaurant Week gives the public an opportunity to continue visiting favorite places or frequent ones they may not yet know about. This week-long event is another way the town can show its support for our local businesses, help our local economy and provide people with an enjoyable experience. We encourage residents and visitors alike to join us in this special town event!”

Participating retailers include the Fairfield University Bookstore, Apricot Lane, Fairfield Museum and History Center, The Stand Juice Company, LaModa Fashions, Island Outfitters, Hazel Daze, Vintage Garden Gifts, Fairfield Theatre Company, Chloe’s Closet, Coreen’s Bridge Floral Shop, Cargo Bay, Capri, Las Vetas Lounge, The Label Exchange, Catch a Healthy Habit, and Sweet Rexies.

A program allows customers to get “passports” stamped at restaurants, which can be shown to retailers offering discounts during Restaurant Week. Information can be found at

Passports bearing stamps from two or more restaurants are eligible for a drawing to be held at the conclusion of Restaurant Week. The top prize will be a night’s stay, deluxe accommodations at the Southport Delamar Hotel.

Additional prizes will be offered by The Fairfield Chamber of Commerce, The Field House at Fairfield Sportsplex, The Fairfield Theatre Company, The Stand Juice Company, Yoga for Everybody, Michael Gennaro’s Steakhouse, Fairfield Ice Academy, Carabiner’s Indoor Climbing, Fairfield University Bookstore, Mo’s Wine & Spirits, East Coast United and The Fairfield Cheese Company.

One entry is allowed per household. No purchase is necessary. Winners will be notified via e-mail.

To enter the drawing, the public can complete the information on the inside passport jacket cover and deposit by Tuesday, Oct. 23, into specially designated receptacles at participating restaurants; Fairfield Town Hall, 611 and 725 Old Post Road; Fairfield Public Library, 1080 Old Post Road; Fairfield Woods Branch Library, 1147 Fairfield Wood Road; Fairfield University Bookstore, 1499 Post Road; Fairfield Theatre Company, 70 Sanford Street; and The Bank of Fairfield Branch Offices, 2150 Post Road and 2248 Black Rock Turnpike.

The town has partnered with businesses, community groups and organizations to conduct a variety of cultural events and other activities throughout Fairfield during Restaurant Week.

“We wanted to highlight things to do in town, as well as places to eat, to create more of a ‘night out’ experience.” Fairfield Community and Economic Director Mark Barnhart said. “The Town appreciates the support of our community partners such as the Fairfield Public Library, Fairfield Theatre Company, Fairfield Museum and History Center, the Fairfield University Bookstore, Pequot Library, Fairfield University and Sacred Heart University for featuring a spectacular array of events and activities in conjunction with Restaurant Week.”
