Teen summer volunteers needed at Fairfield Public Library

Calling teen volunteers! Do you love being with young children and having fun? Children’s Services at the Fairfield Public Library and the Fairfield Woods Branch Library need teens to help children sign up for the online summer reading game, hand out prizes, show movies, help at events, and much more.

Volunteers are needed at both libraries from June 18 through Aug. 7, Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., in two hour shifts. Volunteer a minimum of two hours per week for a few weeks, or the whole summer. This volunteer opportunity is open to students entering grades 8 and up in the fall of 2015.

All interested teens must register for and attend a mandatory one-hour training session.
