Talking About History: The World of Wolf Hall

Can’t get enough of the new six-part television series Wolf Hall? Or the book Wolf Hall by Hilary Mantel? For more on the Tudors and the intrigue at court, join the Fairfield Public Library for a two-part lecture series “The World of Wolf Hall: Two Women, One King” presented by history lecturer Dr. Mona Garcia  Wednesday, June 3 and 10, at 7 p.m., in the Rotary Room at the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road. Registration is requested.

This is the story of the monumental struggle between the two queens — Catherine of Aragon and Anne Boleyn. Catherine fights to remain Henry VIII’s wife while Anne fights to replace her. England will never be the same.

Mona Garcia has a PhD in history and has taught European history at the college level. She has presented conference papers in the United States and Great Britain and has been published in her field of English history. Mona is a reference librarian at the Fairfield Public Library.
