The Nth Power returns to StageOne

Fairfield Theatre Company is proving that soul music can be exponentially greater than the sum of its parts as they welcome back to StageOne, The Nth Power on Friday, May 29, at 7:30 p.m.

Joining the likes of legendary super groups like The Traveling Wilburys, Them Crooked Vulters, The Highwaymen, Temple of The Dog, Blind Faith, and Cream, The Nth Power are cut from the same cloth: talented musicians coming together to create something beyond words.

Assembling some of today’s most supremely skilled and prominent musical stars who create an emphatic, funky low-end rhythmic symphony that gets audiences out of their seats and onto their feet including the heavy-hitting drummer Nikki Glaspie (Dumpstaphunk, Beyonce), bassist Nate Edgar (John Brown’s Body), and West African djembe master Weedie Braimah (Toubab Krewe, Kreative Pandemonium).

But that’s just the rhythm section. Add the band’s newest addition Courtney Smith (Kreative Pandemonium), the phenomenal young man who has dedicated his life to music and who is a true believer of letting the spirit flow through him on keys, and guitar player Nick Cassarino’s (Jennifer Hartswick Band, Big Daddy Kane) who’s sultry voice and guitar styling oozes soul out of every note he performs.

Music fans get ready as The Nth Power’s music descends upon StageOne once again with their feel good dance grooves that will have those in attendance rocking all night long. See how in just over a year this super group has become a highlight at some of the top music festivals in the country including Electric Forest, Gratitude Harvest Festival, and Bear Creek.

“Just know that when you hear this music, you’re going to feel something — you’re going to connect with something higher than yourself,” explains Weedie Braimah.
